Re: Major animal hoarding case just down the road from work....

Some of my coworkers (one doctor and several techs) are, in my mind, bordering on having too many animals. The one doctor, for example, has 10-12 horses, 13 cats, and 8-10 dogs. But her sister and boyfriend live with her and help her with them, and all of the animals are well cared for. Still... I j...

Re: Major animal hoarding case just down the road from work....

Apparently they're all in really bad shape. A lot of malnourishment, heavy parasite infestations, lots of infectious disease, several dead animals found in the home and on the property, etc. Oh, and what I don't know if the article mentions is that a lot of these animals were kept indoors... IN A TR...

Major animal hoarding case just down the road from work....

http://www.wcnc.com/news/local/stories/wcnc-082608-mw-animalsseized.20312364.html They've seized 375 - 400 animals (still a few they're trying to catch, by what I understand) from a hoarder just down the road from my clinic :( Last I heard, approximately 100 of those were rats and guinea pigs that t...

How the hell am I supposed to pick only one favorite? My reading schedule tends to go like this: 1. Social science nonfiction (for example The God Delusion , Suburban Nation , The End of Poverty ) 2. Science/nature nonfiction (currently reading The Diversity of Life , another recent example is Cry o...

I'm currently reading Developing the Leader Within You by John C. Maxwell. I'm really enjoying it... and it's helping to give me the necessary attitude readjustment and confidence to transition from being Beth's bitch to being a (hopefully) valuable and respected doctor at the new clinic! Before tha...

My mom and stepmom are both named Joanne.
Nick's mom and stepmom are both named Debra.

Apparently our fathers share the same fear of shouting out the wrong name in bed :loony

OH NO!!! How could I forget the lovely Shelly?!?!

That's okay... no one can remember my other dog's name. I hope Annie can, because he's Moe's twin :)

Ah yes, definitely Tie, Squish, Jack, Peter and Petula. I have no clue who Mischief and Fosco are. And, although Beverly has discussed her dogs numerous times, I can never remember their names because they're Swedish :)

The only "kids" that I can remember are Moe, Beasley and Meanie. I have my priorities, you know :)

Okay, not really... I can remember Julian, Aidan and Lydia. For some reason, those are the only three that stick. I'm really bad with names.

We are open-door on pee, closed-door on poo.

Occasionally the rules get bent a little (like if I'm REALLY running late and I HAVE to run in to grab my makeup/hair dryer/etc to get ready in the living room), but defecation definitely calls for privacy :)

. However, he totally refuses to poop anywhere except our bathroom. We could be across the bay at IKEA or something and he'll hold it for 2 hours. All the while getting increasingly more impatient and tense. By the time we get home he's like running for the apartment. It's really ridiculous. YES!!!...

Why do men take so long to.....

Why do men take so long to take a freakin' shit?!?!?! EVERY. SINGLE. MORNING. Nick has to take a 20 minute crap. And, almost without fail (today is no exception) this is timed so that I can't get into the bathroom for 20-30 minutes during my morning-getting-ready time... thus making me stressed and ...
