Re: March!

Rowan I will have to put that Rebecca Serle one on my list; I usually like her stuff. I loved The Sea of Tranquility. And when I took it back this weekend I dropped it off at the desk, and when I came back the librarian asked how I liked it. She and I both liked Station Eleven but not another one by...

I read All The Light We Cannot See. I was prepared to be disappointed and I was, in places, but pleasantly surprised in others.

Now I have The True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren.

Re: January!

I read Lily... In December of 2017, which means Tie had died 7 or 8 months before. But we also had puppy Frankie. I had read the blurb, so I had a vague idea. I put The German Wife aside because I own it and figured I better read library books. I just finished Love Me Do by Lindsay Kelk. Some funny ...

Re: January!

I set my goal at 75 because I did 71 this year, but I have a feeling I might lower it.

I'm currently reading The Celebrants by Steven Rowley. I like his writing.

Re: December!

I finished A Night Boat to Tangier. Meh. Then I read Bachelor Girl by I can't remember who. Interesting premise. It was ok. I have to get more books; there are some waiting for me at the library. Edit: picked up Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld today and I am already halfway through it. Somethin...

Re: December!

Oh, yes, the opposite would also be bad.

I think I associate the idea of a feathery stroker with a guy who wants to recite poetry. Same vibe, ew.

Re: December!

I finished Again, Rachel. I do love Marian Keyes. Standout line, "Is he a feathery stroker?" referring to a certain kind of man and how he acts during sex. I laughed so hard; I have encountered feathery strokers. Although I removed myself from the situation before it got to sex. Barf. Next...

I finished the David Sedaris book. It had very funny moments and some not so.

Then I read Looking For Jane by Heather Marshall. Great premise, learned some things, good book, just not as "wow" as my mom told me it would be.

Now I have Again, Rachel by Marian Keyes.

This Time Tomorrow was pretty good, though not the best time travel book I have read.

Then I read A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor (The Carls, #2) by Hank Green. Pretty good, not my usual genre.

Now I have Pieces of Blue by Holly Goldberg Sloan.

I found Our Missing Hearts compelling. Not enjoyable, but plausible dystopia. Oof.
