That's what I do, too, but this year I didn't do a good job of tracking it.

Re: It's January - what are you reading?

Thanks for the heads up, Anna. I'm not very far into When Rabbit Howls yet. The feral children book is a historical look at feral children through (I think) Genie from CA in the 70s. The author traces whatever contemporary accounts he can to tell their stories. At times the writing is really dry. Wh...

Re: It's January - what are you reading?

Some friends at another board are starting a group read of Anna Karenina, so when my copy arrives I'll be starting that. I'm also reading Savage Girls and Wild Boys , about feral children, and When Rabbit Howls , about a woman with 92 alternate personalities due to childhood trauma. I should start A...

Re: It's July - Whatcha Readin?

I just finished This Gaming Life: Travels in three cities by Jim Rossignol. It is a librarything early reviewers book. It was ok. Somewhat disjointed, but interesting. About games and culture.

Now I am reading The Handmaid's Tale

Re: JUne now.. What you reading?

I just finished Love you to pieces: creative writers on raising a child with special needs. It was very good. Very honest. At times, I didn't want to put it down because I was just enthralled but other times I had to put it down because the stories were so raw, it was hard to read. Loved it. Oh wow...

Re: Its March - what are you reading?

I'm reading a bunch of books by Beverly Lewis. Why do I read these? They are awful. Total literary suckage. We are talking total foreshadowing FAIL, bad plot, no interest, boring characters. Yet I read them. What is wrong with me??

I finished Life of Pi . It started out interesting, but I couldn't maintain my interest through the whole book. I am debating rereading it or putting it back up at BookMooch. In the meantime, I am reading Evolution: What the fossils say and why it matters by Don Prothero and Wicked: Life and times o...

I have at least an hour (and sometimes 2 hours) every day on the bus. I also either read or do puzzles every night before bed. If I can, I read at lunch. I love to read. I am on my 4th read of the Dune series. Yes, all of them. I am on book 5 (I started June 10 or so, and read the first book twice)....
