I'm going to suggest: Mallory's Oracle Paperback - mystery/thriller The first Mallory book hinges on solving the murder of Mallory's father, Louis Markowitz: Mallory has a personal interest in the crime, as in other novels of the series. In this case that personal interest—catching the killed of M...

New Book Club Poll!

Okay peeps - I'm doing another book club poll so we can see what else is out there. Does that sound good? I say we each suggest two books and provide a description of the book, and if time, why it would be good to share. Then we'll vote to find the order we'll read them in. If anyone else has sugges...

Did someone say "Penises and Whorish ways?"

I find you really don't want a nice penis. You want a very naughty penish who has been very bad and needs to be punished.

Should we put spoiler in the heading?

I loved this book. I thought it was so imaginative. Which ending did you prefer? I liked the story he told, not the story that might have been true.

Ruth, Love in the Time of Cholera is one of my favorite books ever. Are you enjoying it? I'm reading The History of Love . I'm only on page 22, but so far I'm loving her style. I think it'll live up to the hype! Has anyone read it? I'm loving it - but taking it slow. It's very dense. I liked Histor...

I haven't started Max Tivoli yet. 'tonio gave me two books for my birthday and I finished one, called The Ice Queen. It was really good. I'm now reading Towelhead, which I'm finding very sad.

Max Tivoli is next on my list!

Spudd wrote:I really like PD James. I went through a huge phase where I read tons of her books. I haven't read her in years, maybe I should look for another one.
Same here - but I got burnt out a bit. But coming back to it after many years was kind of fun. Of course, I've lost my book, so I'm super sad.
