Right now I'm reading a book called Work to Live. At first I thought it was mostly about strategies to maximize efficiency so you have more time to live outside the office, but really its an indictment of the American white collar workplace and how Americans are working more and more, developing str...

Silvia - I actually watch tv in bed. It's not a good habit, though because I often end up staying up late to watch some program when I should be sleeping! I used to read in bed as a kid, but not so much anymore. Maybe I will pick that habit back up :think Also, I agree with you about reading slowly....

Um, a week? Try a month, dear. The only time I have to read (okay, take to read) is my commuting time - about 30 minutes a day total. Wow, you only commute 30 minutes a day TOTAL? Nice life! I wish I lived that near to work. Ha! I should have been more specific. My actual commute - door to door - i...

Dang, woman! You read that whole book in one day? :faint

I don't remember the ending . . . but I do remember being slightly disappointed. Maybe we can chat about it more over PMs?

1) What did you think of Everyone Worth Knowing? Well, I never finished The Devil Wears Prada, so I can't say it was better or worse than that one. I dunno, on one hand it was entertaining as far as fluff goes, but I wasn't really "enlightened" or anything. It's enough to say it kept me i...

3) Are you listening to the abridged version or complete version?
The abridged. Meh. :huffy I didn't mean to get that one. Why do you ask?
Because the unabridged version is, like, 17 hours long! The abridged version is only 3 or 4 :)

I just finished Everyone Worth Knowing by the author of The Devil Wears Prada. I am about halfway through The Catcher in the Rye, because I'm trying to intersperse classics in with regular reading. Believe it or not, I made it through school without ever having to read it. So far I'm really wonderi...

After watching Being Bobby Brown religiously, I now find myself routinely thinking and/or saying "Hell to the naw!!!"

Now I'm reading the uber fluffy Undomestic Goddess . Does Sophie Kinsella EVER think of deviating from her formula? Probably not. But I'm on holidays and don't want to think too hard anyway. I know what you mean - that's why I stopped with her books after the third Shopaholic book . . . I couldn't ...
