I've never had them test my blood iron levels when donating before. Of course, it's been a few years since I've given blood (can't do it anymore because of my annie) . . . .

You guys don't like "World on Fire"???? See, the only reason I know that song is because it was the theme song to that miniseries "Into the West" that I was hooked on 2 summers ago . . . I was even more moved by it when I found out she wrote it after 9/11 . . . .

I started reading Po Bronson's What Should I Do With My Life? again and I'm enjoying it a lot more than I was previously. I think that putting some distance between my reading and my listening to the audio version helped. (The author's voice and tone were SO annoying.) Fortunately, he only told abou...

I'm reading "The Joys of Much too Much" which is about having it all in life, and I'm feeling "enh" about it. :grumble Let me know what you think once you get to the end. I was thinking of reading that also, but it does look a little *too* light and fluffy - even for me! Is it i...

Poll - Hardcover or softcover?

Which do you prefer? Although they're more expensive, I do prefer hardcover books . . . because I read *everywhere* (on the metro, at the hair salon, etc., etc.) and keep my books in my purse, my softcover books always get jacked up. At least with hardcovers I can pull off the dust jacket, beat up t...

Bored with my book . . .

I'm about 50-80 pages from finishing my current book. (It's a "self-help" book about business/work habits.) I've been really into it for the past month or so . . . but now I'm just getting sick of it. I am going to finish it because I'm at the part that can actually help me *lol* but I'm s...
