I'm not, because I got confused by the whole "3 books at once" thing and totally dropped out for some reason. But I want to rejoin. I think voting is a good idea - if only one person is interested in reading a certain book, then participation will probably be low! Or, rather than voting, h...

You should say that the bugs MUST have gotten in there in the factory due to the shrinkwrapping. Don't use that wussy "may".

Say you're seriously doubting whether you will EVER give Pot of Gold as a gift again, unless they can convince you that it is safe.

I totally lost track of book club. I'd like to start doing that again. I think if we have one book per month it would be easier than working with a list of 3. We could announce the book 2 weeks ahead of the month. IE announce December's book in mid-November. Then people can get it, and read it durin...

Yeah, the movie was called "Christmas with the Kranks".

I heard the book wasn't that good. (And the movie too, for that matter.)

Dave Barry's "Boogers are my Beat".

It's driving DH insane because I keep giggling. It's also taking forever to read, because I read one chapter a night, and the chapters in it are only like 2.5 pages long.

What was your overall impression of the book? Did you like it? * I thought it was decent. I usually prefer to read books with one long plot rather than a series of short stories, but that was really my main complaint. I laughed out loud a few times while reading it, and felt compelled to read portio...

Yep, the scene with Hassan in the alley was definitely the most shocking part of the book. I was listening to it on audiobook (read by the author) which I think may have made it even more impactful.

How long is it? Is it a quick read? I still haven't bought it, and I'm in the middle of another book! I know they have it at Costco, though, so I should be able to pick it up for a decent price. Or at least they did last time I was there.

I just finished the latest Harry Potter (it was excellent!) and am now reading "The Hatbox Letters" by a Canadian author (I forget her name). DH got it for me for my bday. So far it's not that good, but I'm hoping it'll pick up.
