Has anyone read Wicked?

I'm thinking of getting the audiobook for Wicked, but it's 19 hours and 30 minutes, and the reviews seem to be evenly split between "it's long and boring" and "it's fantastic". If anyone here's read it, what did you think?

I just finished "Angela's Ashes" by Frank McCourt on audiobook. It was good, although depressing at times. Overall I'd give it a thumbs up. I'm now starting "Beach Music" by Pat Conroy on audiobook. I have no idea why, I think someone recommended it to me at some point. So far I'...

Yes, we bought a used hutch and kept him in the garage. And then in summer he lived in the back yard in his hutch, with my guinea pig. Until he raped my guinea pig and she died. Her name was Coco and his name was Marshmallow, so there was Marshmallow in the Coco. Heh. I had an exciting childhood, le...

You make me want to rejoin Facebook with all your intrigue! Crystal, never volunteer to creepy guys that it is your birthday. In high school, there was this creepy guy who had a crush on me, he was like 22 when the rest of us were 16. He even had a beard with grey hairs in it!! Anyways he pushed his...

I finished "Whitethorn Woods", finally. It was terrible. At the end she did start bringing back some of the characters from earlier, but I couldn't remember who they were, because she'd introduced like eleventy-hundred characters since then and it was 200 pages ago. Bah. I'm now reading &q...

I'm reading Whitethorn Woods, by Maeve Binchy. I'm not a big fan, I gotta say. I generally like her books but this one is getting on my nerves.

On audiobook I'm listening to Angela's Ashes. So far I'm enjoying it, although it is rather depressing.

Blush, I'm reading Whitethorn Woods too! So far, I'm kind of annoyed by it, though. Is the whole entire book just little vignettes about different characters? I want to get to know the characters and have things happen, not just start to like them and then have to get to know another character.

I finally finished that damn Alien Chronicles trilogy, and now I'm reading a John Grisham - The Testament. I'm only one chapter in, so it's too early to say whether it's good. Listening to Discworld, by Terry Pratchett, on my commute. I'm not a huge fan, to be honest. The whole absurd fantasy thing ...

That turducken thing sounds weird, but you never know, maybe it will be good. If it's not good, don't eat much of it! Hopefully you can fill up on sides. I know for me personally, the turkey is my least favorite part of Thanksgiving or Christmas meals, so I always just take a sliver and then load up...

OK, I followed the directions slightly differently. I've heard of just about every book on the list (there was just one I hadn't), but for several I was like "meh, I could read it or not, I don't care", so for those I left them untouched. I only italicized or capitalized if I had strong fe...

And I forgot to ask, Kayley, is that the same one you went to school with?? He's been famous for like 2 years now (this is the second season of Prison Break, of which he is the star).

Austen is so much better on audiobook. I was listening to Emma on audiobook one time, and then I went on vacation when I was nearing the end. I didn't bring the audiobook on vacation, but I was dying to know how it ended. The cruise ship we were on happened to have a copy in their library so I picke...

I just finished listening to Pride & Prejudice. I loved it! It made me laugh out loud several times. And oh, the suspense! I just finished reading "The Alien Chronicles: The Golden One", which is part 1 of a 3-part series. DH convinced me to read it because I had nothing to read. It wa...

For me, if I eat too much cheese, my stomach is not happy (luckily, goat cheese seems to be exempt from this). But, my only complaint with your menu is the spinach as the only vegetable. I don't like spinach. I'd rather have broccoli or brussels sprouts. I could eat goat cheese all day. And if the v...
