Annster, I've read the first and the third on your list, and I loved them both.

I'm reading A Fine Balance. I'm on page 238 and I'm totally hooked, but I'm ready for good things to start to happen.

Hi, Kelly! Even though he has left us, we all remember Peter Aaww, thanks, Rach. That's so sweet. You know, I had a nightmare about him last night: I saw that episode of Grey's Anatomy where they put the dog to sleep and I dreamt that Peter was very sick and weak, but we had to leave him in an empty...

Well, amazon describes him (him?) as "Bombay-born, Toronto-based ".

Spudd, I don't mind suffering in my reading. I enjoy it, actually!

Have you guys read...

A Fine Balance?

It's been on my list forever, and I'm starting it today. It seems to be one of those long, painfully sad yet unputdownable novels I love. Yum! :eat

Anyone?

I knew Scooter! Duh, ask me something more challenging. I also knew Clyde, but I don't count.

Spudd, those are funny names for cats. There's a dog who lives near me whose name is Heitor because he was found in a big avenue near here named Heitor Penteado :lol . Too cute!

Ouch! That's not funny at all. I hope you figure out what's up with the constant falling. But I did remember something funny that happened on the trip. Well, I don't know if you guys will find it funny, maybe kayley and I are just too silly. But there's a place in Chile called Maipú (pronounced my ...

Stacy, I LOVED The Poisonwood Bible! Gotta reread it one of these days.

I'm reading a Jonathan Kellerman (Therapy). Good brain candy after the book I was reading in Spanish. I could almost smell my brain cells burning.

The Bookseller of Kabul

Anyone read this? It seems fascinating. I almost bought it yesterday, I read the first 3 pages at the bookstore and was already hooked.

I just finished listening to "Oracle Night" - weird, but good. Oooh, I LOVED Oracle Night! I really need to read his other books. I'm reading a book called Atlas of Human Geography by a Spanish writer called Almudena Grandes. I've looked it up on amazon, and although it has a title in Eng...

I am reading Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. I couldn't get through it last time because the main female character was too annoying. Really? I loved it as a teenager and read it again at age 33 and still loved it. The ending seems to piss some people off, but I won't spoil it for you. As for me, I'm ...
