Ahem, Silvia - you will be happy to know... I just started reading the book. :smug

Man, she's so effortless with her words. I think I hate her for that. :lol

Well, there's a bit of a twist so I don't want to tell you much... :paranoid

I didn't mean I was literally depressed by it, LOL. But I found it very sloggy and long-winded. But that's me, and it was about 5 years ago. :dunno

Yeah, I read 'Interpreter of Maladies" and it was SOOOO good, that now I'm like "But if I read this one, there'll be nothing left!" (she doesn't have anything else yet, does she?)

I'm all delayed-gratification with books. How tantric of me. :lol

I can't see the movie, because I haven't read the book! I will get to the book soon, but I have so many of them!

Hey, it's art to me. :huffy

Art is self-expression; so is masturbation. Somebody stitch that on a pillow! :lol

Anyway, I'd rather save "wank" as a verb and call people wankers instead. Insulting AND British!

Hmm... more spanking the money than pleasuring yourself. It's a guy who's a goofball saying it, I don't think he'd say "pleasuring yourself." :think

The lines I get stuck on never fail to surprise me... :lol

Give me some euphemisms...

... for masturbating. :lol

I'd like something less clinical than "masturbating", but less crude than "jerking off." So far, the only one I can think of is "walking the dog" which is too lame to even consider.

Ahem...

Spudd, I'm not much of a book listener, but I've been looking for a book-book copy of Slaughterhouse Five, and they're pretty hard to come by right now. RIP Kurt! Me: I've been starting so many books that I've got about five (that I've mentioned in previous posts) to finish. I did finish "Blood...

The Unsuggester is hilarious!

If you liked Immanuel Kant's "Critique of Pure Reason", you would not like "Confessions of a Shopaholic"

*doubly posting* Spudd, I started cataloguing my books yesterday! But I was at work, and started forgetting everything I own. :lol I wish you could subdivide it better, like "read", "unread", do not actually own, wishlist, etc. (edit: actually, I think goodreads has that. why do ...

I'm reading "The Year of Magical Thinking" and it's very beautiful, but OH MY WORD it's sad. I keep thinking about my mother too, it's only as I get older that I can start to understand how it must have felt for her to have her spouse/life partner die at a young age.
