I read it, but I have no skill at all in starting discussions. Maybe later on when I have time I can google for some suggested questions on it? :)

My DH does the same thing about having to be at home to poop! What's up with that? However, I don't think he takes particularly long about it... but I'm not really sure, honestly!

Natalie, they only turn into chickens if they're fertilized. Most eggs are not fertilized so they will never turn into chickens. You see, when a rooster and a hen are really in love... :lol As to how they turn into chickens, well, assuming the rooster fertilizes the egg, the part of the egg that wil...

I've never seen that either! I learned in Trivial Pursuit that the yolk is actually the food for the baby chicken - the white is what turns into the chicken. I guess it makes sense since the yolk has so many more calories than the white. That makes a double-yolk egg weird though! Maybe you'd end up ...

Update: I cancelled my Amazon order and ordered from Chapters instead. It should be here this week! I'll definitely have time to read it in Cuba. :)

I just finished my Maeve Binchy (Evening Class) and I've started on "From a Buick 8" by Stephen King.

I ordered Interpreter of Maladies from Amazon, but they say it won't arrive until mid-March! Bastards!

I just started listening to The Time Traveler's Wife. It's good so far! I'm also reading another Maeve Binchy (Evening Class). It's good as well.

Wow, you only commute 30 minutes a day TOTAL? Nice life! I wish I lived that near to work.

Silvia, yeah, we use that term. We had one when I was a kid and my mom was forever cracking dumb jokes about it. I'm reading "Night of Moon and Stars" (or something like that) by Maeve Binchy. DH got it for me for xmas. It's standard Maeve Binchy fare. One part that cracked me up was she h...

OK, I know there is a bug. I don't know how to fix it.

Is there anyone besides Aly and me who *can* see Marie, Aly, and Beana's avatars?

Marie's avatar is a palm tree. Jax, "Saddle Basket" came because I was looking around my cubicle and I saw my saddle basket, with its big-ass "I'm a saddle basket" sticker still on it. It looks like this: http://www.cleansweepsupply.com/pictures/standard/zrub0794.jpg It's basical...

You can't? Can you see her avatar? If not, you probably have the "Marie bug". Some people, for some reason beyond me, can't see her title or avatar or anything.

Anyways, she ended up as "Challenging Vagina". She's the only one, because she's the only one with that many posts!

New titles

I added in some additional posting level titles...

Marie has WAY more posts than anyone else, and I *swear* this was not intentional... but look at her title! LOL.

It's funny you mention Les Miz because that was actually one of our selections! Anyways, I don't normally read the books we read here in book club either. I figure it's good to broaden my horizons. The only book I've hated so far was Crabwalk. I couldn't even finish it. But I didn't attempt Les Miz ...
