I just finished Bitter is the New Black by Jen Lancaster. It was pretty funny but nothing super special. Would you recommend that? I started to skim through it at the bookstore, but the author seemed so obnoxious I didn't think I'd enjoy reading the book. She was a bit obnoxious, but realizes how h...

I just finished Bitter is the New Black by Jen Lancaster. It was pretty funny but nothing super special. I'm reading Diary of a Fat Brides: Tales from a Pretend Adulthood by Laurie Naturo (sp?). It's really funny. I already have the next book - I Love Everyone (and other lies) I want to get Heat By ...

I'm reading The Boys of Winter about the 1980 USA hockey team beating Russia in the Olympics. Pretty good, but the author is painting a pretty bleak picture of coach Herb Brooks and it's starting to grate on me.

I'm also in the middle of the Chronicles of Narnia. I forget which book - the third or fourth. It's really good. Is it supposed to be a childrens book? I don't know . . . I've never heard of this series (but I have heard of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe). The filmmakers are heavily marketing...

I just finished Wicked this morning and loved it!

I'm thinking of rereading the Harry Potter book of the movie that's coming out on the 11/18.

I have to read so much for school here lately that nothing serious is appealing right now.

I just finished reading A Cook's Tour - In Search of the Perfect Meal by Anthony Bourdain. LOVED IT. He is so hilarious. He traveled the world, subjecting himself to various cultures "specialty" foods, sometimes getting really sick and other times loving it. He also rags on the other Food ...

CL, I decided I hated it also. I quit reading it around the Miramax part because the authors views were just so silly. After reading your view of the ending, I definitely won't bother picking it up again.

Blush, I didn't like The Mermaid Chair very much at all. I just finished reading Down & Out in the Magic Kindom. It's kind of like Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy meets The Time Travlers Wife set in Disney World. It was a good quick read. I just started Disney: The Mouse Betrayed about all the e...
