Re: February!
I'm reading How to Sell a Haunted House - it's very good. House is haunted by puppets and dolls.
Re: February!
HahahahahaRowan's husband would be a fan.
Re: February!
This book talked about her colleague having all this stuff up in his cube about a football/soccer team and that was no big deal vs her's with Benedict pictures. Granted, I wouldn't put a celebrity or anyone/anything at my cube other than my boy of course but it definitely was very contradictory. I l...
Re: February!
Blush - I couldn't get into Turtles although I've liked some of his others. Curious what you think. I'm reading This is not a Book about Benedict Cumberbatch which is really interesting - about how women can like something/someone/etc and it be viewed as "silly". I'm not doing it justice.....
Re: February!
Glad you liked Evelyn!
I've been in a reading rut of late. My dental hygienist (who is a big reader AND i've had forever) pointed out that my rut is likely due to stress. Lots of work stress lately so I am turning to mindless tv instead.

Re: February!
Blush - can't wait to hear what you think of Evelyn. I loved it! I finished a non-fiction book called Soundtracks by Jon Acuff about the things you tell yourself and how to change your inner dialogue/soundtrack. It was decent. I always feel if I take one or two things away from a book it was worth r...
February!
I finished The It Girl by Ruth Ware and it was good.
Not sure what's next. I just got Fiona Davis' new release by egalley from the publisher today. Definitely made my day and frankly week!!

Re: January 2023!
I read the Liane Moriarty one too and they don't even compare with the tennis levels. Hahaha.
I also may have been the one to suggest Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow - I didn't get bogged down by the video games.

Re: January 2023!
Hahahaha - yep! I actually liked it better than Malibu Rising but I grew up in a tennis house (where my dad played and my mom watched it on tv constantly). It's ALL tennis.

Re: January 2023!
Sylvia - if you hate tennis, maybe take Carrie Soto off your list. It is all about tennis.
I'm halfway through The It Girl by Ruth Ware and liking it. I also would like more uninterrupted reading time.

Re: January 2023!
Blush - glad you liked Evvie Drake. I ended up loving Carrie Soto more than I expected but I grew up in a tennis house so I wonder if that was part of it. Have you read the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo? That's my favorite of her newer novels. I finished All the Dangerous Things by Stacy Willingham ...

Re: January 2023!
Blush - I really liked Evvie Drake and I don't tend to love that genre. It was well written and I felt the story was "mature".

Re: January 2023!
I didn't like The Rewind. I should have abandoned it - I wasn't reaching to read it so that should have been a clue. I generally like the author. I have Nora Goes Off Script next which has gotten rave reviews. I'm not in the mood for rom-com but it was due yesterday so I should just bang it out and ...

Re: January 2023!
My bff got me "You Are a Badass" for Christmas which was interesting. There's a few good points in it. I'm 75% done with The Rewind by Allison Winn Scotch. I generally like her books but not digging this one. I don't like either of the characters so I'm kinda hate reading it at this point.

Re: January 2023!
We Were Never Here was fine and then the ending was bizarro. I hate that. Minus one star for that. LOL Not sure what is next. I'm doing a virtual book club with Little Women which I've read a million times as a kid but they're reading it super slow which really isn't my jam. The next meeting is 1/17...

January 2023!
I'm reading We Were Never Here by Andrea Bartz. It's good but I'm not necessarily speeding through it.
Re: December!
Thanks - had the eye dr today. He now thinks the script is right but the positioning in the lenses is wrong (which is what I was pushing last time) so they're being remade. Hopefully that fixes things. I'm still reading Book Lovers by Emily Henry - I'm liking it. I'm almost done -- <50 pages or so.
Re: December!
Sylvia - I loved Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. It's really a story about friendship and I found it different from anything I've read recently. I'm reading Book Lovers by Emily Henry which I'm really liking. It's sad because I can't marathon read anymore so it's taking me longer...
Re: December!
Clearly....I seem to be on a post-apocalypse kick.
Re: December!
I liked the Lisa Unger but there were a lot of characters so I had to flip back. I think it was my fault because I stopped for a few days to give my eyes a break. Not sure if I've shared this but I'm having trouble with my close eyesight which I thought would be fixed with a new script. Nope. Eye dr...
