Re: April books
I ended up not starting Little Fires Everywhere, because the Doomsday Book came in for me at the library (ebook) so I started reading that instead. So far it's good.

Re: March books!
I finished The Road by Cormac McCarthy last night. It was good, but depressing.
Now I'm going to start Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. I have no idea what it's about or anything.

Re: March books!
I finished 'The New Me' by Halle Butler. I did not really like it. I felt like it didn't go anywhere. And sometimes, it had chapters from the POV of weird side characters as a one-time thing. Like, why? Before that, I read "The Last Time I Lied" by Riley Sager. I enjoyed that one more. Tha...

Re: March books!
Finished The Break by Marian Keyes. I ended up liking it quite a lot although I spent a lot of time gnashing my teeth at her decisions in the intermediate time. Now I'm reading a book about a women who had 3 friends disappear at summer camp when she was a kid and now she's going back to that camp. I...
Re: February!
Yes! That's it!
Re: February!
Yay, I'm glad you liked it! I also found it highly improbable, but I was okay with it anyways. So gripping! I finished Catch-22 and thought it was just OK. I get why it's a classic but I didn't love it by any means. Now I'm reading some generic chick lit that I can't remember the name of. The woman'...

Re: Jan 2020, anyone?
Just finished "Behind Closed Doors" by B. A. Paris. I loved it, one night I was reading it before bed and then had trouble getting to sleep because it was so gripping and I was just lying there thinking about it. Would recommend, but maybe not right before bed. Hah. Now I'm reading Catch-2...

Re: Jan 2020, anyone?
I flirted with a couple of non-fiction books: The First 20 Hours which is about learning new skills, and Perfectly Imperfect which is about yoga. Neither really grabbed me so I abandoned both. Now I'm reading a fiction book which so far seems entertaining: Emergency Contact by Mary H.K. Choi I had t...

Re: December: what are you reading?
I finished Three Bags Full and would recommend it. It was very cute.
Now I'm reading Arkwright. My brother recommended it to me. We'll see. It's a sci-fi.

Re: November: what are you reading?
Lol, I didn't realize Always and Forever was the third in a trilogy until I got to the end and in the endnotes the author was like "this is the last time I'll write about Lara Jean" and I was like doh!! It was still good even though I hadn't read the first two. But I wish I'd known. Now I ...

Finished All We Ever Wanted a few days ago. I loved it, it was super gripping.
Now I'm reading Always and Forever, Lara Jean, which I'm also loving.

Re: November: what are you reading?
I finished "All Grown Up" (Jami Attenberg) and it was just OK. Wouldn't highly recommend it. It seemed to cover the same ground repeatedly.
Now I'm reading "All We Ever Wanted" by Emily Giffin. So far I'm really into it, but I haven't gotten super far yet.

Re: November: what are you reading?
I finally finished L.M. Montgomery (would not recommend reading the complete Anne collection in one go). I liked it, but the charm started wearing off after like 3 books. I don't know why I felt compelled to keep going.
Now I'm reading "All Grown Up" by Jami Attenberg. It's OK so far.

Re: November: what are you reading?
I'm *almost* done the complete works of LM Montgomery. Well, maybe not her complete works, but all her books about Avonlea and Anne, at least. Hopefully I'll finish it in the next few days and get to start something new!

Re: October: What are you reading?
I'm still slogging through all the Anne books. I'm getting towards the end now. I don't really know why I'm keeping going. At this point it's more about her kids than her, she's just kinda lurking in the background. It's just, you get invested, I guess.

Re: August: what are you reading?
I finished Anne of Avonlea and now I'm on to Anne of the Island. It's really the "will they or won't they" of Anne and Gilbert that is keeping me going. I don't remember how it turns out.
