Yeah, and...? You're such a foodie.

Interesting. I've never heard of turducken before.

I have heard of turducken before, but only as the butt of a joke.

It doesn't sound tasty to me, either, but then, I don't eat fowl.

I usually pick around the main dish as well, and maybe if other people bring good side dishes, you won't mind the three bird whatsis sitting on the table.

I like green bean casserole. It's very comfort foody. :huffy

that being said, I've always thought the idea of turducken just sounded gross. I like turkey and chicken, not fond of duck, but the idea of the three together just feels wrong to me. blech.

Actually turducken is pretty good if you like slightly spicy Cajun food. It's the breast of the duck, turkey, and chicken wrapped around cajun sausage. There's no skin on the inside at all (the sausage is ground) and I've never had it with dressing stuffed inside. If they are getting the pre-made turducken roast, it won't have stuffing, just the sausage. There isn't really a single flavor that stands out drastically, unless you get a spicy bit of sausage. I've had it served with remoulade and with a spicy hollandaise-type of sauce (I don't remember the exact name). But if you don't like spicy food in general or Cajun food you unfortunately won't like turducken.

I've never heard of turducken. When I first saw it I thought it was a vegetarian version of something, like Tofurky. :lol One thing does bother me about it. The fact that it begins with the word "turd". :paranoid That already makes it sound gross to me.

That sounds gross. I am with the others who said they like it separately (never had duck, DH says it can be good)... yum on chicken and turkey. But not together....

And I love green bean casserole. Total comfort food.
