Today's the Day She Leaves!

Post by aly »

We're taking MIL to the aiport in about 30 minutes.

It's nice but a little sad. It's hard to have someone live in your house for so long but she was a huge help with Julian. I mean, I feel like I was a bit spoiled as a mother from the first month to the 7th month of Julian's life. But oh well...it was quite the experience. I wrote her a nice letter thanking her and we gave her some pretty earrings.

:whew It's finally over.

That's a relief.

You are going to do great without her. Really.

And how is your recovery going? (If you don't want to answer that in this thread, that's cool.)

I won't believe it until she is on the plane and the plane has taken off!

I know you were glad to have the help, but that lady is impossible!

you're free!!!

you must be so, so, so relieved! I mean, partially maybe in a way sad to have this stage of your life over, but no more adult child in the house, with grapefruit accusations and superexcessive telephone calling and who knows what else. I think it will be really good for you and Bo to just do the nuclear family thing for a while!

hope the transition goes well!

You're about to get your life back-- yay!

But I can totally understand missing her some. I am sure she contributed a lot, even though she was wacky. :lol

I can totally understand why you would be a little sad even with all the extra aggravation she caused. But I agree with the others who said that it is time for you, Bo and Julian to just be your own little family and enjoy each other - without added grapefruit drama!
