What are you reading? (April 07)

Ha. ha. Ha.

I'm not actually reading anything right now. I finished up the ends of about six books I had on the go, and now... hmm... :think

I should probably read Harry Potter 5 soon since the movie is coming out. Or maybe I shall consult my shelf-sitters and report back...
You got into this business because you're funny and weird, and you're socially retarded. And because it pays well. - Jack Donaghy, 30 Rock.

I *just* started We need to talk about Kevin by Lionel Shriver. I haven't read far enough to make any judgements.

I just finished Coal Run by Tawni O'Dell. I really like her style - really nice character development.

I just started the new Jodi Picoult, Nineteen Minutes. I love her. I imagine I will whip through it this weekend (assuming both boys cooperate!).

I just finished "Angela's Ashes" by Frank McCourt on audiobook. It was good, although depressing at times. Overall I'd give it a thumbs up.

I'm now starting "Beach Music" by Pat Conroy on audiobook. I have no idea why, I think someone recommended it to me at some point. So far I'm not really a fan of the narrator, but hopefully I'll get used to him.

On paper, I'm still reading "The Witching Hour" by Anne Rice. It's all right, but way too long. It's over 1000 pages! Come on Anne Rice, learn the secret of brevity. I'm about halfway through.

I'm reading Snow, the 2006 Nobel prize winner. I'm only on page 50 or so. I like it so far, but I haven't had much time to read fiction lately :crying
