It's November 1...
... somewhere in the world.
I just finished "Lullabies for Little Criminals", a decent and slightly sad story of a girl growing up in the slums of Montreal.
Now I need to pick something else. I'm holding two books in my hand, someone please vote: "contemporary wit" or "dramatic and semi-historical"

You got into this business because you're funny and weird, and you're socially retarded. And because it pays well. - Jack Donaghy, 30 Rock.

Well, because it's just a matter of what I'm in the mood for. They'll both get read eventually, anyway.SÃlvia wrote:How can I vote on a genre alone?
"The Time in Between" by David Bergen? And what was the other choice?

Just finished "Lean Mean Thirteen" by Janet Evanovich. whee for total brain candy. Also just finished a book about the Gogo fossils in Australia.
I just got "life of Pi" from BookMooch, and several other books. I will probably read one of those next. I also need to take notes from "Late Quaternary Environments of the Soviet Union" for school.

I've read:
The ha-ha - very good
Me & Emma - good
Eyes of Prey and Silent Prey - good brain candy thriller/mysteries
On my list:
Halfway through Eat, Pray, Love (thanks for the recommendation LB)
Boomsday
Miracles by CS Lewis
YOU - staying young
Mutant Message Down Under
A War of Gifts - Orson Scott Card

I forgot to post on here for Nov!
So far I've read:
I am America....and so can you - Stephen Colbert - funny, but some of the humor doesn't translate that well to text
Bergdorf Blondes - Plum Sykes - Cute fluff book
About ten pregnancy/baby books. I can't read anymore!
I need to go to B&N tomorrow and pick up something good.

I finished Life of Pi. It started out interesting, but I couldn't maintain my interest through the whole book. I am debating rereading it or putting it back up at BookMooch.
In the meantime, I am reading Evolution: What the fossils say and why it matters by Don Prothero and Wicked: Life and times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire.
