I finished the last of the Stieg Larsson books, and was a little sad to see them end (the author died, so there won't be any more). Now I'm on to People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks.

I finished "The Blind Assassin" last night, and posted to Silvia's thread about it. I'm really confused so any input from people who've read it and are smarter than me would be appreciated. :)

I just replied, Spudd :)

I'm reading My Cousin Rachel by Daphne duMaurier. Her Rebecca is one of my favorite books ever, and this one's good so far too! The cover alone was enough to make me wanna read it (well, that and the fact that it's by Daphne duMaurier). Check it out:

Ooooh, that looks good, Silvia. I loved Rebecca. I will have to put that on my list of things to read.

I finished Bird in Hand and it was pretty good. Now I've got a Nora Roberts book called Vision in White and it's supposed to focus on the friendship of a group of women...but they are wedding planners and so far it's all pretty vapid. I'm only on Chapter three but I'm skimming whole sections of dialogue.

I finished The Heretics Daughter by Kathleen Kent. It was ok. I kept expecting.....more. And it never happened - the books just plodded along with a few little interesting parts here and there and then ended.

I also read the Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella. It was a decent fluff book.

Right now I'm reading The Venetian Betrayal by Steve Berry. I love his books.

I got a few more fluff books from the library and The Devlin Diary by Christi Phillips.

I'm waiting on The Hunger Games - I'm 6 out of 50 holds so I should get it soon!

Anna wrote:Jon and I are now reading "City of Ember" for family book club, I was impressed there were probably 60 kids and families there!
Cary read that with his 5th graders he student taught last year and liked it so much he bought himself the sequels! I'll have to check them out.
