November?! What are you reading?
I have The Man in the Basement by Walter Mosley in my work bag. I haven't started it yet - but hopefully later.

Re: November?! What are you reading?
I finished the James Comey book. It was pretty intense.
Now I have What She Knew by Gilly MacMillan.

Ooh, I loved What She Knew!
I'm still rereading Rebecca. I'm really not much of a rereader. I get impatient because I know where it's headed. But if you haven't read it, I highly recommend it.

A week later and no updates?! Where is everyone?
I finished Rebecca then started The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I like it so far.

syl- If you like Rebecca, you should look at The Winters by Lisa Gabriele which is a modern retelling that I heard about on a podcast. Haven't read either so can't personally vouch for them. I love Seven Husbands -- it's my go-to recommend to people this year. Hope you like it.
I'm reading Liane Moriarty's latest - 9 Perfect Strangers (or something like that). So far so good.

Re: November?! What are you reading?
Ro, I read about The Winters in one of the facebook book groups I belong. I'm not sure how I feel about it. It could either go super well or horribly badly But I'm certainly curious.
Nine Perfect Strangers will probably be my next read! I love Liane and have been counting the days 'till its release. Now that it *has* been released I decided not to pick it up on day one so that I can savour the thought that there's a Liane Moriarty out there I haven't read yet. Yes, I need help.

I finished What She Knew. It was good; kept me guessing.
Now I have Us Against You by Fredrik Backman, the follow up to Beartown.

Re: November?! What are you reading?
I finished Nine Perfect Strangers and while it went quickly, I didn't really enjoy it. Maybe my expectations were too high --Syl YMMV.
Re: November?! What are you reading?
Don't worry, Ro. I saw that the average goodreads rating for Nine... is 3.7, so clearly you're not the only one who's disappointed. I do think she has a loyal readership who expects too much from her. I've given 5 stars to THREE of her books. That's a record for me and I'm sure at some point she'll write something I don't like. It'll be a sad day.
I'm still reading Evelyn Hugo. I like it, but don't love it.

I finished Us against You. It was ok but not as good as Beartown, which I didn't enjoy as much as his other books anyway. This one felt too heavy handed in the life lessons. Also too long.
Next is The Wife by Alafair Burke. I am 50 pages in and so far it's pretty gripping.

Re: November?! What are you reading?
Finished Evelyn Hugo. Opinion remains: liked it, didn't love it. A solid 7. I think my main problem with it was that I didn't like the main character much.
Then I read All We Ever Wanted by Emily Giffin. A page-turner, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
And now I've just started The Possible World by Liese O'Halloran Schwarz. This one has been on my list for a while but I never seemed to be in the right mood since it starts with a 6-year-old witnessing a horrible crime, but today I decided to try it. Was sucked right into the sample and bought it straight away (almost never happens).

Today I finished The Death of Mrs Westaway. It was really quite good.
Then I blazed through a diy decor book called Hello Color.
Now I will start How Hard Can It Be? By Allison Pearson.

I read The Nowhere Girls this weekend - YA that I really liked. Easy read.
I started The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory last night. It's a really quick read - fluffy - I think I'll like it.

I finished How Hard Can It Be by Allison Pearson. It was great and I recommend it.
Now I have Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty; I have been waiting forever for it to get to me from the library. It's her first book and they only have one copy!

I finished Three Wishes. It was ok, but it was her first book and Moriarty has definitely gotten better!
Now I have The Incendiaries. I'm not sure what to think after the first few pages but it's short.
