Re: May!
Earlier today I finished "Strangers in Their Own Land: Anger and Mourning on the American Right," by Arlie Russell Hochschild. It was excellent!
Just downloaded "Listen, Liberal: Or, What Ever Happened to the Party of the People," by Thomas Frank.
After this one I will likely need something fluffier!

Re: May!
I've started "28 Summers" by Elin Hildebrand. So far so good!
Re: May!
I cried at the end of 28 Summers. I've read a few of hers before but i really liked this one and/or needed super fluffy in my life.
I'm still reading One by One by Ruth Ware. I feel it's kinda disjointed a bit.

Re: May!
I realized to my embarrassment that I'm not reading 28 Summers, I'm reading The Perfect Couple.
Re: May!
Blush - that's on my list...I'll have to give it priority.
I just finished My Daughter's Mother by Daniela Petrova. I liked it. Twisty not super amazing writing but good story. M always laughs at the titles of the books i read. LOL
Not sure what's next.

Re: May!
They're both great!
I'm on my 4th Kristan Higgins in a row. I don't know if it's the horrible times we're living, but I don't wanna read anything else, and her style fits my taste perfectly.
Re: May!
I finished The Perfect Couple (quite liked it), and now I really am reading 28 Summers.
Re: May!
Finished "Listen, Liberal." It was ok--kind of sad, also informative.
Just started "Queenie," by Candice Carty-Williams. It was the selection for book club at work; I will miss the discussion but still wanted to read it. It's ok so far.

Re: May!
Finished Queenie already. It was a good quick read; didn't love it, but it was ok.
I think I'm next going to re-read "The Golden Compass," by Philip Pullman. I'd read it back when it was first published and just want to refresh my memory on the story. I remember it being quite good.
