This deserves its own thread. I'm reading Mischiefs of the Bad Girl by him, which apparently has a title in English, but hasn't been translated into it yet. Anyway, this guy is Peruvian, he's one of the best/most famous writers in Latin America, and I just LOVE this book!! I started 2 days ago and it's absolutely unputdownable. The guy's an amazing storyteller. I haven't fallen in love with a book this madly in years! And now I regret not listening to my mom: she's been telling me I should read Vargas Llosa ever since I was a teenager. Oh well. The good thing is now that I found him, I have all his books to look forward to!

Here's a link to him on amazon:

Look out for the translation of this book. It's really, really good. I think I'll read El Paraíso en la Otra Esquina (The Way to Paradise) next.
