In a strange moment of synchronicity, I'm reading "Divisadero" by Michael Ondaatje right as he was given the Governor General's Award. It's really good.

I just finished "Oxford Mourning"...I don't remember the author. It was good, though.

I'm about to start "The Thirteenth Tale," which I've heard is wonderful from about 10 people now. :)

I just finished "Disordered Minds" by Minette Walters. I wasn't too impressed. It was a mystery, but I found it hard to keep track of all the clues and stuff.

I'm now starting "Sense and Sensibility" by Jane Austen. I'm only like 10 pages in so it's too early to tell if I like it yet.

On audiobook, I've finally finished the "His Dark Materials" trilogy, and I need to download something else. I don't know yet what it'll be.

OMG - you all have to read Mutant Message Down Under. I finished it last night and it was sooo good! I also read Three Dog Life this weekend. It was very good.

I'm also reading:

Complications: A Surgeon's Notes on an Imperfect Science

I'm sure there will be more to come. I'll keep you posted!

Beverly, what did you think of Snow? I had such high expectations, but found it boring, boring, boring.

I'm reading The Book of Illusions by Paul Auster. As usual with him, I have no idea where the story's going, but I like it!

I thought Snow was good, but I hadn't heard anything about it beforehand, so I didn't really go in with any expectations. But, GAH! How hopeless was it?!

The God of Small Things, on the other hand, has me a little underwhelmed at the moment ... I'll keep plugging away at it, though.

I started "The Golden Compass" a couple of days ago. I'm not too far into it yet, but I can tell that I'll like it. Sucked me right in!

I just spent 10 minutes choosing the all-important airplane book. This is a serious matter, people.

I picked Runaway by Alice Munro. :xmaswoot
