So I've been lurking on librarything for some time now and see that some people count audiobooks as "books they've read".

What do you think?

Well, some people are huge fans. I'm not one of them. To me they're just not the same thing. But yeah, I think they count because they do tell the story.

I'm one of the people that counts them. I listen to audiobooks on my commute, and I don't see why they wouldn't count. Abridged ones maybe shouldn't count, but if it's unabridged, why not? I only listen to the unabridged ones, personally, I don't want someone deciding for me which parts of the book are worth reading and which aren't.
