Wait - does this mean that you're not telling US the name until the peanut is born either? If so, I'm not playing.
If not, here are my suggestions -
Really Trendy, Celebrity Baby Names (e.g., Moses, Pilot Inspektor)
Girlish-Sounding Names Ensuring Playground Beatdowns (e.g., Dale, Terry)
Ethnic Names (e.g., Leroy, Amir, Pierre, Juan, etc.)
This is fun!

Ooh, you could also do old-school Biblical names (e.g., Hezekiah, Ezekial, Abner, etc.) or really old-fashioned names (e.g., Seamus)

AAACK!
You guys, nothing is WRONG with the names I just want ones SHE won't like but that are normal so she'll believe us and leave us alone. Honest.
For the record, she replied that it was a "nice" selection of names that sound a lot like the ones the basketball players on tv have - I'm thinking "basketball player" = ethnic sounding for her?

LB, of course I'm telling you guys!
I listed our top choices in another thread a while ago. For a girl we liked Emily Rose and Emily Anne. For a boy I like Mason Evan, he is ok with Evan Williams but isn't sold on anything yet but he knows he hates Mason.

ok I'm going with Scottish baby names here:
Angus
Argyle
Lennox
Malcolm
Nairne
Ogilvy
Uilleam
Then when she asks where you came up with such a name you can tell her your celebrating Jeff's Scottish heritage.

I dunno about Mason . . . it makes me think the kid will be born wearing a fez and wanting to hang out at lodge meetings

Aly, it is just a website for that label of whiskey. Nothing indecent at all.
LJ - I'm cracking up over here. I emailed that to Jeff as further proof that Mason is the better name.

Archibald
Averil
Barclay
Beaumont
Bjorn
Dieter
Dorian
Kumar
Jayden
Leif
Montague
Nolan

But LJ, Xander is an AWESOME name!
I'm only half kidding, though as a nickname, not the whole name.
We were talking about alternate boy names (and since at least one of the top two made the lists here, I'm not saying what they are!
) DH decided he likes the name Christopher.
Nice, "normal" name, right?
It is . . . until he let me know that it was so that his kid would be named after Superman.
Marie--
You should just tell your MIL that you were totally in love with the Emily Rose name, so you're going to name your son--
Emil Ross.
