Anyone read it?

I read the first 10 pages at the store today (it's been on my list forever) and though it's beautifully written and gripping, I'm not sure I should read it. Too devastating. But I *am* tempted.

So, anyone?

I'm a little afraid of it, it sounds like it might be too close to home... but I've heard nothing but good things about it!
